The Time-Domain Vector Fitting Algorithm for Linear Macromodeling
The Time-Domain Vector Fitting (TD-VF) algorithm for macromodeling of linear multiport systems is presented. A rational approximation for the system matrix transfer function is easily derived from transient input/output port responses. Several validations illustrate the high accuracy of the method.
متن کاملPitfalls of Fitting Autoregressive Models for Heavy{tailed Time Series
We consider the analysis of time series data, with particular emphasis on series which have a heavy-tailed structure | that is, whose marginal distributions have a right tail which is regularly varying at innnity with index ?. A natural model to attempt to t to time series data is an autoregression of order p, where p itself is often determined from the data. Recently several methods of paramet...
متن کاملBootstrap prediction intervals for autoregressive time series
This paper is concerned with the calculation of interval forecasts for highly-persistent autoregressive (AR) time series using the bootstrap. Three methods are considered for countering the small-sample bias of least squares estimation for processes which have roots close to the unit circle: a bootstrap bias-corrected OLS estimator; the use of the Roy-Fuller estimator in place of OLS; and the u...

متن کاملA linear model for the response time in motion prediction.
A linear relationship was found to exist between the response time and the concealment time in motion extrapolation experiments. It follows that the subjects performance is characterized by the two parameters of the linear relationship rather than by the error in determining the position of the occluded moving stimulus. These two parameters can be manipulated separetely by specific changes in t...
